I Roshon Martin was born and raised in Harlem NYC.  At
the age of 13, I developed the passion for cooking. I am an
only child and my mother worked two jobs, so I had to pitch
in by learning how to cook. My mother put me in the kitchen
and told me “While I’m out working these two jobs, you’re
going to have to do your share and  learn how to cook.”   It
started out with me feeding my friends, getting some pointers
here and there and now I’m here feeding soul after soul. In
the year 2002, I started working as a line cook. Where I
learned how to work the line and to plate food so at that
point I was gaining more experience. The biggest event I
have done thus far was for Type 2 diabetes for over 250
people. It was held at The Greater Allen A. M. E.
Cathedral of New York, Jamaica Queens. It was a great
experience, nothing but healthy food was made by me.

During my food journey, I have been fortunate enough to be
mentored and taken under the wings of several chefs such as:
Chef James Robinson (Kitchen Cray), Chef Max Hardy
(NYC), Chef Edgar Guilca (NYC), Chef Balente Barrosa
(NYC) and Chef Troy (MIAMI)). They have all helped
mold me into the chef I am today.

I’m a self taught chef whose vision remains clear. Let my
story touch your hearts and let my food touch your soul.

Food from the heart, that feeds your soul.
